Scraptastic December!

December 17th, 2008

Hi everyone! Yes, yes I know- I have been the world’s worst blogger, but I am going to try a little harder to keep this updated! Since I found Facebook it seems so much easier to update and add photos there, but I know lots of friends and family check in on my here too, so I will try to keep a little more on top of it! :)

I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas season… can you believe it is coming so soon? I think I am mostly done with my shopping. Lexi is so into Christmas this year it has been so fun. Although- she is not allowed to see Santa anymore this year because every time she does she adds MORE to her list! LOL!

I took most of December away from designing just so I could focus more on my family and making memories from the holidays special. :) I have been doing some scrapping though! Slowly working my way through all of my neglected pictures! :) If you missed the opportunity to pick up the Cookies for Kids templates at Sweet Shoppe, you can still grab the daily templates in the forums here! Normally I am not a fan of templates, but since I started scrapping with these I have to admit I am kind of hooked. I love that I can sit down and scrap a layout in an hour or so! Soo here are some of my most recent pages. (Click to see larger and see credits).

We are supposed to get snow today so cross your fingers for me! As much as a mess as it is- we haven’t really had a good snowfall here in a couple years… so I am singing the snow chant like a kid again… SNOW SNOW SNOW!! LOL! Hope you have a great day!

November 15th, 2008

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful fall! This year has been an exceptionally beautiful fall where I live and I found myself awed and inspired by the spectacular display of leaves and colors all around me! I created Sweet November with all the beauty of fall in mind and I just love how rich and full of life it is! :)

I created an alternate calendar page with this kit for the 2009 CD Calendar I released last weekend. If you like it click the download link below and enjoy! :)

Gearing up for the weekend…

October 9th, 2008

Hi everyone! Wow this week has just literally flown by for me! I don’t know what it is, but time seems to be moving by awfully fast lately! LOL! My DH is getting packed up to leave for his Blizzcon Convention this morning. He is gone all weekend! I am not going to be sitting around missing him though (well I’ll miss him no matter what- but I am glad he gets to go do something fun for himself!) I am heading to my cousin’s for the weekend! It should be really fun to see her and the kids and we plan to get the kids in their halloween costumes for a little pre-trick or treat photo op :).

What’s Lexi gonna be for Halloween? Well its a funny story actually LOL. At first she was insisting on being MUSTARD. Yep you read that right Mustard! She had her heart set on it ever since she saw it over my shoulder while I was browsing for a costume for her. Haha! She is such a quirky kid! A couple weeks ago she found out my nephew was going to be Mickey Mouse and then she decided she MUST be Minnie. Good thing I didn’t already buy the Mustard costume! LOL! So she is going to be Minnie mouse and I have to admit its gonna be a super simple costume to pull together. She already has a cute dress that will work, so the rest is just the details (ears LOL).

Speaking of pictures, it was a gorgeous day yesterday so I took the opportunity to take Lexi out and take a few quick fall pictures in the backyard. I haven’t given my camera a work out for a while so it felt good to flex those photography muscles again! LOL! I can’t resist sharing a few of my faves here. I hope you have a great day! :)

Busy, Busy, Busy!

October 6th, 2008

Two blog posts in a row- I am on a roll now :). Just thought I would post some of my latest designs up here.. I have been one busy girl! Hope you are having a great Monday!

Has anyone seen the owner of this blog?

October 5th, 2008

Wow shame on me! Bad! Bad Blogger! LOL! I haven’t meant to be MIA but it seems that as Summer has melded into Fall I have found myself even more busy!! Lots of changes around here and new routines to get used to have shaken things up for us! The first is the addition of a new family member.. Jake. Now I have to admit I daily wonder what in the world we were thinking getting a puppy, because it is like having an infant again in so many ways! He is adorable though and in general a very good puppy. He is a chocolate lab and I just think he is such a pretty dog! Lexi loves him, but he is just a bit too rambunctious for her to play with yet, so I have to keep an eye on her and Jake every minute they are together. I think once he grows up and mellows out a bit he will make a great family dog.

Lexi started Preschool at the beginning of the month, and although Mom was a little emotional and reluctant, Lexi could hardly contain her excitement! So far she loves preschool and I have gotten quite used to the few hours a day of free time! LOL! I just can’t believe how fast she is growing up- next year is full blow kindergarten!

Rick and I celebrated our birthday a couple weeks ago. We are both a whoppin’ 27 years old now. We didn’t really do anything particularly special for our birthday, but Rick did bring home some very sweet roses and we celebrated with some cheesecake :).

I am gonna leave off with a few recent pictures and layouts. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. :)

Want it All?

September 16th, 2008

Hi guys! Just popping in quickly to let you know its that time again! Some of you may remember that last year around this time I auctioned off a year of my designs on ebay to five lucky winners! Well its that time again and this time there are only 3 spots! If you are interested you can find the ebay auction here

Good Luck and Happy Bidding! :)

9/17 ETA: The original auction was canceled by ebay due to linking to outside websites (I had no clue this was a no-no :( Sorry) I have relisted it again here.

Thanks everyone!

Did ya miss me?

August 26th, 2008

Wow what an unbelievably fun and full Summer we have had! I have TONS of fun pictures but I am not gonna post them tonight… LOL. I will soon though, promise! I do however have a bunch of various layouts I have done over the past 3 months that I will post tonight!

Lets see I started Summer off with a visit from my dear friend Laura! I was able to see her last spring at her house, but that sad thing about having a best friend half way across the country is that there is major planning involved for even a day together! This time we got to have one crazy, absolutely jam packed week! We filled it to the brim with trips to Multnomah Falls, the Fish Hatchery, Ikea, Portland Zoo, and overnighter to Newport including the Aquarium, Under Sea Garndens, and Lincoln City. Of course there was also lots of fun dinners out and shopping!!! All in all it was a wonderful visit and when the day came it was really hard to say good bye for another six months or so!

That was just the beginning of my Summer! As I have mentioned I am a big Stephenie Meyer fan, and my mom and I got to go to Seattle for the Breaking Dawn Concert Series/Book signing! It was so fun to take a little overnight trip into Seattle with my mom- I am really getting spoiled by my girl time! :) The concert was amazing! I was so impressed by Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October. Hearing him acoustic was amazing! Of course Stephenie was as sweet at she always is! It was so fun to meet her in person even if it was only for a couple seconds! LOL

Lastly, my sweet hubby insisted that I go and see Phantom of the Opera while they are in town. I have been in love with this show and wanting to see it live since I was about 14, so seeing it finally was a dream come true! Rick was more than happy to send my mom in his place (LOL) so we had another fun girls night out! Phantom was amazing! Just as good as I always thought it would be! The costumes and sets were breathtaking and the music and performances were fantastic! I feel like such a lucky girl! :)

Ok, whew well there is plenty more, but that is all I will ramble on about tonight! I did want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who purchased July’s kit from Songbird Avenue. In case you didn’t see, we raised over $1,000 for Safe House and I am beyond thrilled! :)

Ok here are a few of my layouts…

Phew ok thats it from me for now! I have more to post.. but after a long absence I am pacing myself ;-). I hope you are all having a wonderful Summer! I can’t believe its almost over! Have a wonderful evening!
